The Starmark Treat Dispensing Puzzle Ball Dog Toy is a multi-chamber interactive dog toy to engage your pup’s nosy nature and ward off boredom. The multiple chambers are labeled from easy, for puppies, to more difficult for the longer attention span of older dogs. You could fill it with small treats or kibble from a meal, just has to be small enough to get through the holes. I personally like to fill all the chambers for longer lasting and progressive fun.
A downfall of this toy is the outer coating, it’s a soft, thin rubber sleeve-like material that one of our pup’s and their sharp teeth were able to start peeling. Should the outer cover get removed it does not change the functionality of the toy, just makes it a bit louder on floors. The chambers are easy to clean, though not sure I’d recommend dishwasher easy. It also has little rubber teeth hanging over the opening in which you’re instructed to trim if you so wish to make things even easier. I chose not to mess with it and used it as it came out of the package and it’s worked just fine.
As your pup rolls the dice like toy around on the floor, the treat or kibble makes their way through the holes separating the chambers until it reaches the exit and rewards the dog for playing.
This is not a toy to use wet food or treat pastes with because there is no way for that consistency of food to make it out of the toy.
