Victor Wet Food Lamb and Rice

Victor Lamb & Rice Formula Canned Dog Food

We chose to review the Victor Lamb and Rice formula canned dog food because of the calorie count, 1540 kcal/kg, 575 kcal/can.  We have some dogs I’m looking to put weight on so giving them tasty, high calorie foods are on the list right now.  I wish this formula was offered in a cuts and gravy as I find it a little easier to mix with other items but we made it work by adding warm water and such.  There is a beef cuts in gravy options that offers 82% moisture, we may try that one next time even if the calories are a bit less at 1010 kcal/kg, 378 kcal/can, feel like I can mix it easier in other goodies for calorie count.

Good ingredient list:
Lamb, Vegetable Broth, Lamb Liver, Brown Rice, Dried Egg Product, Barley, Dicalcium Phosphate, Sunflower Oil, Guar Gum, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Sodium Tripolyphosphate, Cassia Gum, Carrageenan, Oatmeal, Flaxseed Meal, Ferrous Sulfate, Choline Chloride, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin E Supplement, Copper Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Manganese Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Potassium Iodide, Pyridoxine Hydrocloride, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid.
With Guaranteed Analysis of Protein: 9%, Fat 8% and fiber at 1%; Moisture 78%.

Our dogs ate it up no questions asked so obviously tasty.  The price point is a bit high though, at $2.42/can on chewy.com I think I may just watch for it to come on sale locally before I feed it again.  That can get costly with the number of pooches we have.
